Deploying innovative technologies at scale
Over the past 25 years, Aster has worked to support startups in scaling innovative technologies by building bridges with industrial giants. I joined Jean-Marc and his team to contribute as a coach—someone who helps founders unlock the potential of deeptech innovation by leveraging an existing ecosystem of industry leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs. My mission is to guide startup teams through the complexities of scaling, using hands-on experience and strategic insight to accelerate their impact.
Backing deeptech and industrial startups
Since 2022, the funding landscape has shifted decisively toward deeptech, with growing investor expectations around triple impact—economic, environmental, and societal. As a former entrepreneur and VC who has backed over 44 startups across compute, space, energy, robotics, medtech, materials, and defense, I now act as a coach for deeptech founders. I help them navigate the unique path from technological validation to market traction, industrial scale-up, and ultimately, profitability.
Deeptech ventures require targeted coaching—developing a product from lab to market, engineering early demand before manufacturing, managing capital intensity, and scaling in a reliable, repeatable way. My focus is on helping founders structure their growth: from €1M to €10M in sales, with a strong industrial base and a resilient supply chain.
